Initially, the collection included purely original items that were the equipment and accessories in the huts of Franja Partisan Hospital. Unfortunately, it was largely was destroyed in the summer of 2007 floods, when 494 items had to be excluded from the collection. Luckily, 303 objects “survived”, including 75 damaged ones, however their components were identified or their inventory numbers preserved. On the basis of the museum documentation of the items, the copies were made for the purposes of the presentation of the Idrija monumental area, or the replacement (identical in content) documents were obtained/collected, but are registered only in the collection accession book. In 2016, we started to include other items in the collection. These are personal items of staff members and the wounded from Franja Partisan Hospital, or objects that are in one way or another related to Franja. The collection now includes 557 objects.
